Position Summary

To engage children and youth in creative iSTEAM learning experiences that ignite curiosity, foster relationships and competencies with Human/Technology interactions, while building a diverse community of capable learners through empowered play.

Ideal Candidate


  • **Must be a resident of Calgary or surrounding areas**

  • Must have reliable transportation

  • Level 2 or 3 Early Childhood Educator Certificate REQUIRED

  • Minimum of Standard First Aid CPR-C (or willing to obtain)

  • Clear Police Check with Vulnerable Sector (or willing to obtain)

  • is hardworking, flexible, and compassionate

  • will ensure the safety of all children under their care

  • works well under stress and in difficult situations

  • has a Growth Mindset

  • is a team player

  • is open to learning new skills such as incorporating iSTEAM aspects into their daily childcare practices

  • Provide a safe environment for children and staff.

  • Supervise and evaluate staff and program to ensure compliance to Coded Minds Canada standards and Regulatory standards.

  • Supervise children to ensure their health and safety.

  • Provide children with educational and recreational activities appropriate for their age level as per Coded Minds Canada philosophies (emergent curriculum, iSTEAM, and Growth Mindset)

  • Ensure that all areas of the facility are maintained in a sanitary and orderly manner.

  • Attend workshops and professional development seminars to maintain professional competence in the industry.
